I just noticed this today, is This Atrophy ?

I am 27 and I have had wide spread twitching for awhile, well when I woke up today I noticed this dent on the side of my hand . It has not gone away, I don’t have weakness, but I am worried this could be the beginning of ALS . I do have Dystonia, I was born with it, so I am going to see a Neurologist who specializes in my type but it doesn’t cause this . Maybe I am just overthinking this dent idk .

It covers twitching and a variety of other concerns that bring people here after searching online. Pictures are not helpful, as only a doctor can provide an exam and assess for atrophy.

If you are seeing a neurologist, they will be able to help you with this. Dystonia can definitely cause muscle imbalances and variation in bulk, so a proper exam by your neuro is your best bet.
