I’m thirty years old and I’ve been experiencing muscle fasciculations and aches all over my body. I haven’t had any tongue twitches but plenty in my legs, arms, and eyebrows. I feel like I can’t talk as fast as normal but I’m not sure. I’ve been hyper fixated on my body lately. I also feel like I can’t type as fast as I used to either. I take Abilify and my neurologist told me that Abilify can cause me to not be able to type as fast as normal.

Anyways, they did an EMG and a nerve conduction tests and my results came back clean. I want to be happy about these results but I’ve read stuff online that says a clean EMG doesn’t necessarily rule out ALS so I’m still worried. I don’t know what to think. I don’t really feel weakness, but I do experience twitches, tingling, and soreness.

What you describe isn't ALS, and the clean EMG provides reassurance of that. Whatever you think you have read, a clean EMG wouldn't reflect ALS in your case.

When you are hyper-fixated on your body, that's called health anxiety. It can make you feel things physically that are not a physical problem.

Since you are on Abilify, I presume you see a therapist of some kind, or have access to one, to whom you should describe your feelings since they can help.
