Chuck keeps getting a sore on the bridge of his nose from his mask. He wears the Resmed F20 mask. We originally put a strip of Mepilex across his nose when it started to get red. Then our RT had us try LiquiCell strips, which worked well for a few months. Then he started getting redness and a sore when using them. He switched to the F30 half mask which allows his nose to heal. But as soon as he goes back to using the F20 mask, either with or without LiquiCell/ Mepilex, he develops redness then a sore. We’ve even tried the F30 mask for daytime naps and the F20 at night, but that isn’t working either. All along, the F20 mask has fit him the best and he’s had the least air leakage with it.
Any advice for tackling these persistent nose sores?

I wouldn't wait for redness. We used NexMed gentle paper tape or Transpore tape, whatever was at hand, every day/night. A clean barrier/face is just as important as which strip/mask.

If the tape is not enough, you can treat the area with NutriBiotic ointment or whatever works for him, blot, and then use the tape.

We’ve reached the point where we always use LiquiCells but the site just gets worse. And I clean his mask daily.
I’ll look into NexMed and Transpore as alternatives.

Transpore is a type of NexMed tape, sorry, I should have been more clear.
