Yes, I always feel like I am in a different dimension and have to do force myself to pay attention when someone is speaking to me. Most things I do by rote now and I dread anytime I have to engage with anyone, as I am always afraid of forgetting to do something, even though I wrote a detailed daily care plan.
Have a clear priority list now and sometimes folks will ‘suggest’ things that have nothing to do with the priorities, they are well meaning, but just don’t get it. It is a part of their ‘normal’ life, that now to me would be a luxury. I too enjoyed yard work, etc. but there is no time for that, just basics, like taking care of my pals, keeping things clean, supplies ordered, bills paid, meals made, laundry, caring for dog and planning for next progression.
