Hi-
My husband has PLS. Has been diagnosed for about a year and a half. It took several neurologists to find the problem but we now have an excellant neurologist. She is not in our immediate area. There seems to be no competant specialists here who can treat this disease. He has a lot of spasisity in his legs and has not been able to walk without assistance for awhile. His speech is also affected but it gets better when he has speech therapy. We are currently planning to add a room to the first floor of our home to make it easier for him. We would like it to be accessed from the garage, perhaps having a ramp leading right into that room and the room open into our family room. We would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance.
