For those interested in the same kind of functionality via an iPhone hub, here is a description of Todd Stablefeldt's setup - he works as a programmer. Todd has a spinal cord injury and no movement below his neck. He has speech, but not all those using this tech do.

What questions aren't addressed?
Where is it unclear?
What is incomplete?

I'm planning on adding a short section on HA network protocols, so folks will be able to recognize outdated or unsecure technology.
