Thank you Nikki.. i apologise.. I'm am losing a lot of muscle mostly on the right. If it were bilateral I think I feel better. I appreciate you!

Honestly, Cheryl, with as many clean (for ALS) EMGs as you've had, plus clean for ALS clinical exams, you may be standing in the way of yourself by continuing to focus on a disease you do not have, as opposed to continuing to look for solutions to what you may have. This forum can induce anxiety, and actually harm instead of help, those who are already in an anxious state of mind. This is a 7 page thread with not one page showing signs of ALS.

I'm not sure what you have, to be honest, but I do know what you do not have, and that's ALS. You've been cleared and that's a wonderful thing. It's time to look to the future and go forward with solutions to your right hand issues, whatever they may be.

Best of luck to you.

I'm am so sorry . However ,I have not been cleared. This is why the Neuromuscular specialist wants me to go see another one as he told me he can not rule it out (Anxiety prevolking #1) My EMG , this last one showed things that he could not explain. He did not expect anything on it. Therefore it was not clean. I shared it with you all so you could see what he wrote as well as his confusion and to get your input for which I always appreciate. With that being said I have read post where people have been told they are fine and then they get a ALS diagnosis. Because I am having extremely unusual things happening to my body at a very rapid rate is why I am so anxious.(#2). I did not share any of that on here , though I wanted to because I thought that's what the forum was for. That was my error and again I'm sorry.
.. it very hard when one minute you are told one thing then they change what they said originally.. Best ..

Cheryl,
I’m reading those reports and not seeing where you’re coming from with regard to not being cleared. The reports say that clinically you’re not presenting with ALS. The EMG isn’t showing ALS either. The doc isn’t sure what’s causing your issues and is referring you for a second opinion, but a neuromuscular specialist can diagnose things other than ALS. Please update us after the second opinion but it does not seem like ALS is very high on that diagnostic list if at all.

Stay off the internet for awhile and wait for the second opinion. I know limbo is hard but scouring the internet isn’t going to make waiting any easier.

Thank you! I'm just so scared.. my right arm is so skinny now among other areas that have drastically changed and have no muscle and happenef fast. Ie. My stomach. I was hoping I was done after this doctor. I take it you all know how to read emgs? Thank you again your very kind. I will try to stay off the internet..
