Good morning!

I finally remembered to bring the book to school so that I could pass that info on to you guys! One of our school social workers gave this to me to use with my daughters. It's a great book that deals with emotions and how to handle them. It's not ALS specific, but would work great!

The name of the book is "When Someone has a very serious illness: Children can learn to cope with loss and change". It's written by Marge Heegaard and is published by Woodland Press, 99 Woodland Circle, Minneapolis, MN 55424. They cost $6.95 plus applicable tax and $2.50 to cover the cost of handling.

Gotta run!

Marcia

This is a really useful thread! Very important stuff! Way to go Marcia!

There is a book called "Grandpa, What is ALS?" written by Bonnie Gold-Babins and is available through the ALS of Alberta.

This is quite a good book directed at young children. Might be worth a look.

Cheers!
