Help For Als Fear

Now the twitching is concentrated in my abdominal muscles and my abdominal muscles are twitching every second. I read in the articles I read that twitching in the trunk is dangerous. And I feel my abdominal muscles very weak. However, when I tried it, I was able to do 35 sit-ups. I couldn't take the judgeship exam that I mentioned in my previous post. I couldn't get these thoughts out of my head. Only November 10 was examined with Needle Emg, I think this is not enough. But doctors don't look at more muscle either. It has been more than 2.5 years since the twitching started. However, can weakness occur after 5-6 years?

I am sorry that these thoughts persist. As you can imagine, most people with ALS reading this cannot do any sit-ups at all.

A needle EMG is a key test in assessing the possibility of ALS. But we have already discussed all the reasons that the EMG does not suggest ALS, nor has the rest of the history you have described.

I have never heard of twitching for more than 2 years, least of all abdominal twitching, and a clean EMG culminating in weakness due to ALS years later.

We have done all we can for you here. Please see a counselor for this anxiety about ALS so you can move past it. Later, I am sure you can become a good judge who understands fear a little better and will have empathy for litigants.

Accordingly, closing your thread. Please do not start another. It's an new year, and I hope a new beginning for you.
