I had an emg that was abnormal. My right entire side has symptoms of pins needles, coldness, burning, with the majority of my symptoms being in right lower calf. I also have widespread twitching. I dealt with b6 toxicity 3 years ago which mimics als but most of my symptoms subsided and I was ok. Well now I have many of the issues from the b6 with additional symptoms so now I’m freaking out about it being something new. I had an emg 3 years ago and all was normal. The recent one I had about a month ago was not and with b6 toxicity people typically have a clean emg. It showed some sensory issues but there were also some motor findings. I had read that sometimes early als can mimic radiculopathy so I’m terrified. I am able to exercise as normal although my right side does feel notably weak and I do have to work harder to stabilize everything. MRI showed mild changes in the lumbar spine along with mild ligamentum flavum hypertrophy in lumbar spine. My neurologist says that those findings wouldn’t exactly line up with the radiculopathy findings on emg. Hoping for some insight. Thanks so much

I see no reason not to take these conclusions at face value. Very often imaging and EMG do not perfectly align. Ask about a PT evaluation. You might also want to see a phys med/rehab physician (physiatrist).
