Thank you for allowing me to ask a question. I hope and pray God heals you all affected in this life or the next. He is the greatest physician. I am a 25 year old man. I'm going on 19 months of symptoms. I have constant muscle fasiculations in legs at rest. And notice them in other body parts sometimes when I'm walking like face or neck or something. I also get them all over my body which is quite alarming. My calfs twitch 247. my thighs are quite active and I'll get random thumps all over my body during the day. Most recently my biceps have become quite active which is really scaring me.

My symptoms started one day after exercise. I noticed my calfs are twitching. So I looked it up and boy did immediately have a panic. I feared the worse. I tested my strength and balance often, I over exercised to see if I as losing strength. So I went and saw a neurologist. I saw 3 actually. I will admit I tend to freak out over medical issues. I was given an EMG which tested both legs, my hand, my neck and paraspinal muscles. And low and behold it was normal. So he said I didn't really have any evidence of mnd and I just had benign fasiculations. I didn't understand how constant fasiculations was nothing to worry about. He said to come back in 6 months and we'll evaluate you again. And boy was that miserable. I was worried sick. I thought what if EMG was done too early, what if my fasiculations hasn't had time to atrophy my muscles and make them weak. So I went back and had another exam and he said was normal. So he wanted me to do another EMG. I realized now he was just either being thorough or stealing my money lol. So I had an another one two months later and tested the exact same pattern as the first. And the result was again normal. So I had two EMGs between a 9 month period that were normal but for some reason I still fear als. I have seen 3 neurologists all at the same clinci who said they thought benign fasiculations. Thank you in advance for any answers. I joined a bfs group but some of them have seen physicians who said you needed to wait years for a benign fasiculations diagnosis. Which scared me. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you. Also one last thing, they didn't even see fasiculations on my EMG. How is that possible?

3 neuros , normal exams and normal emgs. Told by specialist no mnd. We are not going to say anything else

if you are frequenting bfs groups you see there are 1000s of worried twitchers. All of your concerns have been expressed there and here and ultimately come to nothing. Not seeing your twitching on emg is not unusual and it doesn’t matter one iota that they didn’t see them. If you had lower motor neuron disease it would have showed.

you can continue to worry or you can go out and live your life. If you need support see your pcp or find a bfs group that supports rather than triggers you

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry if I bothered anyone.

Does anyone else have any advice? Should I keep chasing this? Or let it go?

Let it go. Your quest for support here is no longer appropriate seeing as you have been told several times you do not have ALS.

Good luck to you.
