I have a cherished friend who was diagnosed with als just last week. He is one of those individual's that always steps right in and helps his friends. He has helped me through a couple of terrible experiences in my life and now I want to be there for him. He is into the mind body connection, he is optimistic and feels he can beat this but from the research I have done already that is rarely the case. I do have a question can this disease like I have also read go into remission?

Thanks for your time,

Sandee

Hi Sandee. It doesn't go into remission. It can sometimes plateau as we call it. He may get to a point and stay there for months and months. Some of us do but some don't. You will read that every one's different. With ALS it is true.
