I have ALWAYS been a very heavy sweater but it has gotten worse since ALS. There is a simple blood test to see if you are in menopause. I had it and found out I am in menopause. Now another pill to take but no more night sweats. I am like frankb and sweat profusely with very little exertion.

like CathyP i sweat even with minimal exertion

Dr Wise wrote a great article about this - any spinal problem can cause thermoregulation problems, and it's more likely if your impairment is in the upper body. In addition, many drugs that people with spinal conditions take, including anti-spastics, contribute to the problem. If your body temp ever drops below 90 degrees, you need to go to the hospital immediately to get heated up, and beware becoming really stupid in the 93-94 range.
