Hi,

I'm help a person with a disability. They use a "hand-free" pointing device
that tracks their head movements and translates them into mouse-cursor
movements. The problem is that there is no way to double-click, right-click,
or do such things like hold the <Ctrl> key down while selecting items from a
list box.

Does anyone know of a hands-free mouse that would work for someone with no
movement below the neck and is (preferably) American-made or, next-best,
available in America?

Thank you.

wristbandsnow,

If your patient is using a Windows-based computer, you can use the Point-N-Click program from Polital Enterprises to provide the alternate mouse clicking capabilities. You may also want to look at various types of neuroswitches that could be applied to the areas of the patient's body that still have some type of movement and be programmed to take the place of the mouse button.

Hope this helps.

I use an American program called Dragger 32. Works reasonably well.

AL

Dragger32 provides four mouse action buttons that give the user single click access for all common functions of a two-button mouse. Dragger32 also includes a universal dwell capability called AutoClick that automatically supplies clicks for those who cannot use a mouse button or adaptive switch.

Time has come that I start looking for a head mouse. Any recommendations from seasoned users? I am thinking of getting SmartNav, but let me know if there is a better option.
