sympthoms appeared in apr09. oct 09 started weight training, bar bells, dumb bells, upper and lower body machines pushing to the max 5 nights a week. feb10 when diagnosed love handles gone, boobs less floppy and chicken wings gone. increase muscle mass through out body especially in both arms. this i believe provided my head start for things to come. over a period of time i have slowly backed off listening to my body, 3 nights a week, 40% less weight than in feb10. now comes the snickering part, diet supplements, i don't throw a dart to decide what to take, do a meridian test every 60 days (meridians are the circuits in your body that distributes energy) accupunture uses meridians by inserting needles in specific areas, sometimes with success and times not. the meridian tests tells me condition of 20 areas in my body good, stressed, inflamed. it lists what supplement to take to correct short comings. take those until that area is good then discontinue, other areas may show up needing help means a different supplement. i have taken a lot of different supplements but not counting vit c, beta-caratine, multi vit, calcium, maybe 3-4 at any given time. diet, when symptoms appeared i rapidly lost 20 lbs. in addition to my regular meals added health drink twice a day. gained 10 lbs back and have maintained that weight since oct09. drink consists of milk, protine muscle milk, carbohydrate w/creatine, fruit, honey, peanut butter (used flax seed oil for a while but but gave it up because of bad taste) a 2 hour nap every afternoon helps also. can i prove this slows progression no but the naysayers can't prove it doesn't. can only say i still walk, talk, eat, breath and drive on my own. no way of measuring progression except by seeing others in our support group, nine have died and 8 diagnosed after i was which causes me great sadness. agree or disagree comments wecome
