I would just like to extend a super Happy Father's Day to all of you dads here on the ALS forums. Whether you are PALS, CALS or related to someone with ALS, the Dads I know on here are all my heroes. I'm thinking of you Al, super moderator, and all-around amazing guy, Barry my Western Canadian buddy, Capt.Al, the spunky yet wise one, JoelC, who has overcome amazing obstacles, Physical Zaph who makes us all laugh, and all of the significant others out there who support their wives and are heroes to their kids.
Most of all I want to thank my own Dad for being the bravest and most caring father I ever could have hoped for. People always tell me, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" and in my case that is a huge compliment. My Dad is a strong, funny, smart, talented man who can make anything grow in his garden and can fix anything that's broken. Even if he can't do all the things he used to, he is a true inspiration and faces every day head on like a real trooper.
I wish you all Happy Father's Day and may this one be the best one yet... to be followed by many more to come!
