When My Time Is Done At Last
When my time is done at last,
Be it an instant, months, years ahead,
Though all my strength may dim
Let my love always be true and strong,
I have known love and loss, in life,
And things I cannot fathom,
They are too big, too deep, to know,
Yet in its many forms, I recall love and friendship the most,
Memories of those long gone?
I’ll see them soon enough.
Their loss is temporary.
What matters is the love and memories we all share,
Present limits press upon me?
Nothing can contain my spirit’s flight,
When my daydreams go roaming.
Anything is possible, limitless, and free,
The future, uncertain, but my mind is open to greatness,
My time here will be what it is,
But it will not be wasted,
Beyond the veil, another life awaits.
When my time is done at last,
Dear loved one, worry not,
Though now you grieve, I will always be there
Though for a time, we may be apart,
We are together, within our souls;
Someday, we will be forever rejoined.
