got most of my tests back today, here they are: Lyme Titer of 1.128or greater is strongly suggestive of present borrellia burgdorferi infection. Well have not heard from all of my doctors yet however according to the results and my GP I have chronic Lyme. My Lyme titer is 1.256AB. Also bunch of other stuff going on, got results of Mri of the spine, Here is the assesment, probable component of lumbar spinal stenosis and a disc herniation affecting L-3-4 and possibly L5-S1.There is severe degeneration of the L5-S1 intervertbral disc. At the L5-S1 level there is a collaspe of the intevertebral disc with circurnferential annular disc bulging. If anyone knows what all this means please feel free to chime. I see the rheumy on March 5th, I got all these reports from My GP, they sent him a copy and I asked him to make me a copy. Also Vitamin D still low at 16, even though I take one 50,000 capsule a week. And drum roll please one more thing going on, went to see my eye doctor and was told my ducts are clogged which is causing swelling and headaches around my eyes, I am going to see a specialist to get the unclogged(however they do that) Also I do have some diabetic neuropathy going on in my lower extremities. I guess I have a lot of stuff going on, but I have a feeling most of my problems are being caused by Lyme. Wright or anyone else again, please feel free to chime in, if you can interpert this results any better than I can or even if you can't. Thanks Margaret

It seems strange to say congratulations on chronic lyme...but I'd be relieved with that one over MND!

It's also relieving to see the multiple diagnoses to explain all of the different symptoms you've been experiencing!

I hope they can find solutions to EVERYTHING to resolve the issues and fear that you've been through!

Keep us posted!

Wow Margaret, talk about a lot going on! Well, Lyme is no picnic but now that you know you really do have it your doctors can get busy treating it! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery (since I heard it can take a while)

Margaret,

Good luck with the treatment! Happy to here there are other reasons for your symptoms and not ALS.

Well, this answers alot of your questions with the pain that you feel! You have lyme ontop of all that spine stuff! at least you will be on your way to answers and treatment. I think you should rest easy that you dont have MND.

take care!

ps. If you have alot of pain, you could try swimming like me. It has done so much for me mentally and phyiscally. and it is as easy as you want it to be...

Tracy's right. Only on this forum would we get excited about Lyme. Still hopefully they get get you on the road to recovery. Great news.

Robert

Margaret,

I'm glad for you that the tests have pointed away from MND and towards something that is treatable. May they get you on the road to wellness very soon!

Margaret-
Yes, that is great news, no where else are you gonna hear that, huh? Hope you have a good visit with the rheumy-those guys are kinda special-I work with 3 of them, and they are all 3 very, very kind.
Keep us posted,
I'll keep you in prayer,
brenda

thanks you all for your replies and encouragement, Tag, I hope you too find some answers soon I have been following your story and admire yout persistence. Sad to say but I was kind of hoping for lyme it just seemed the logical conclusion as I know for sure I was bitten by tick and pulled it out myself, also had the classic bull- eye rash. I was treated for it about 2 years ago, I took Doxy for about 6 week, but I guess it did not go away. The stuff with my back probably happenned when I was in a mojor car accident about 6 years ago, I crushed my right hip and was in the hospital for 3 weeks and rehad for another 2. At that time the doc was not sure I would walk again. When I was in the Room waiting for my G.P. to come in, I walked over to the chart and looked at my results before he entered the room and gave a big sigh of relief. So before he even came in to tell me I knew. He probably never saw someone that happy to have Lyme in his life. It just was a validation to me that I am not crazy and all my symtoms are real. I will know more when I see the Rheumy on thursday and what kind of treatment they will pursue. Just hope nothing else shows up in any of my others tests, I think the amount of things the matter with me is quite enough:lol: I still have not results back on the mri of my brain with contrast, will keep you posted, thanks again, margaret
