Based on a thread and post that I can't find at the moment, people were suggesting a way to thank people for posts in order to recognize individuals that provide valuable information.
The thanks button will recognize valuable posters and helpful individuals. Thanks are tracked and instead of simply rewarding members of the forum for "post counts", which has obvious limitations, perhaps this will be a more accurate way to reward helpful members moving forward.
The thanks button is located bottom right-hand corner of the website provided you have at least 1 post and you're logged in.
The button looks like this:
The button will not appear in some forums (i.e. off-topic)
When you receive thanks the will be listed below the post, also, you'll be notified of each thanks received in your notification bar.
