Hi our hydro was out for 3 hours today, we are always worried about this. A local Lions Club had bought us a gererator and hooked part of our home to be supplied by a switch of a switch. We have 4 battery back-ups but now we do not have to worry so much, as the geneator also keeps our furnace on so we have heat. If you can afford to do this or if you have a organization to help you pay to get one my suggestions is do this. My husband bi-pap is used 24/7 so we need to have power for him. It is just one less thing to think about or worry about.
