Peter, Et Al, spectacular wrap up! I'm sorry I was mia for much of the last part of this Follies. However, I really enjoy reading what transpires, and am never disappointed. cheers!

Well done, Peter!

I'm off to eat some fried chicken (I know which herbs & spices but I'm not tellin')!

Thanks Rose and Zaph.
I thought it was time to try and put a end to it.
FYI and others, there is a fair amount of actual history in the post, and others I did.
I enjoyed doing the research especially the American side of it.

In doing it i stumbled across the herbs and spices you mentioned Zaph but i am not telling either

cheers
Peter

As the sun went down over the battlefield Frett climbed on his white horse thinking to himself "Well it sure was fortuitous for me to find my long lost identical twin brother Brett and for him to get shot in the back with bullets meant for me, he was always taking my stuff"

With that he rode off into the sunset singing a song to himself ......

Traveling in a fried-out combie
On a hippie trail, head full of zombie
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She took me in and gave me breakfast
And she said,

"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six-foot-four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich
And he said,

"I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."

Lyin' in a den in Bombay
With a slack jaw, and not much to say
I said to the man, "Are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?"
And he said,

"Do you come from a land down under?
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover."
Yeah!

Living in a land down under
Where women glow and men plunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover!

Living in a land down under
Where women glow and men plunder
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover!

Barry,
Nice way to keep Frett alive.

The "bathtub" will now have to get a run at some stage.
That will get some thinking

Nice song too
cheers
Peter

Barry, you're the Bees Knees. A fun poet, and a "live" Frett. Ahem, if I'm gonna be Ned's sister, I'll see you Down Under! Ned, you DO HAVE a sister, don't you?

Off to study my Australian dictionary,
Ann

Yes Ann, I have three sisters.

You could be my older sister. One to keep me on the "straight and narrow"

Looks like an Aussie folly coming up in a couple of weeks. Time to think of a theme.

cheers
Peter

Oh, good. Uh, Ned... as I recall the movie, you were never ON the straight and narrow. You were very charming, of course, and had a lot of admirers and friends. I'd better watch it again...
