I'll wrap this day up with this.... there are forgotten veterans.

My unit worked closely with ARVNs (Army of Republic of Viet Nam) and the Montagnards. On our very
remote bases within just a few miles of the Cambodia and Laos Border they manned our perimeters with us.
They went on patrol with us. The Montagnards would make a rice wine that was more like Moonshine.
They learned more English than we learned Vietnamese.

They are veterans too... we left them behind to the hands of the NVA.

We have a huge Montagnard population here in Central NC... I'm glad they made it out of there.

Again.... real Forgotten veterans.

For some reason I could not start a new topic on this subject so I'll add it to this.

I was delighted to see this video. We at 1st Field Forces worked with these people
and the Montagnards, Cambodians, some Lao and Thai volunteers (Veterans).
A retired Green Beret officer did this on his own secretly. Thank you Lt. Colonel.

It adds to my disdain for that patch "Kill 'em all.... let God sort 'em out" many
so called warrior vets wear on their decorated ornate vests and jackets. Sorry.
