Finger twitching and muscle twitches. ALS?

Finger twitches on one hand and spasms in multiple places.

I have had intermittent but pronounced twitching that started on middle finger that comes and goes and now has been evident in index finger and thumb on same hand that comes and goes. I am also having some internal twitches or spasms in different areas like upper arms and legs but have not shown any signs of muscle stiffness or weakness. Is this something that should be seen urgently by a neurologist?

It explains twitching without any other symptoms is common and does not indicate what you fear. If you still concerns, by all means, visit with your doctor, but thinking ALS is quite the stretch. Pinched nerves due to overuse or posture can cause all sorts of issues.

Always start by seeing your PCP. Get an examination and ask them what you should do. Don't ask - do I have ALS? Let their expertise guide the process.
