Has anyone here (PALS or CALS) had experience using one of these as part of ALS care? I’ve seen them in camping supply catalogs, and I believe REI sells one. I’m thinking something like this might be helpful when traveling, particularly at rest stops. I can stand, but I can’t get up off a standard height toilet, even with grab bars, and my quads are too weak to permit hovering over the toilet. Here’s a situation where the male PALS have an advantage.

If your CALS is willing to get really good at positioning carefully they work well, but it's definitely not as simple a solutions as for the boys. I had a beautiful male CALS friend some years back who was expert with one and could use it successfully under a blanket in public without it being detected what he was doing - I kid you not, even on a plane! :)

interesting idea!
