I'm new on the forum and my wife was diagnosed with PMA in July 2013. She has fasciculations only at night during sleep. They were very intense for about 3 months throughout the night. For about the last 4 months they have decreased significantly and now occur primarily as muscle movements such as fingers or legs slightly or suddenly moving. Several nights they have not occurred at all and some nights they only occur briefly for 20 minutes or so and then stop. Generally they occur 5-10 minutes after falling asleep. She has never had fasciculations during waking time. Her PMA has seemed to stabilized and she works out 1 1/2 hr. during the day with stationary biking and resistive weight training. She started ivig infusions in September and has been continuing to the current time.

We would greatly appreciate any thoughts on this.

If your wife is getting IVIG, this post may be better placed in the MMN forum. Fasics are common in MND and reflect nerve damage. They are not a marker of progression as such.
