Dr Google says FALS strikes 10 years earlier, on average, than SALS.
Another source said FALS could strike as early as 20 years young.

Any more inputs? What is the youngest age of onset that you know of?

Yfals.als.net is a web page that deals with young adults diagnosed with ALS. You might get some good info there. Lately I am not feeling really good about averages and statistics because I'm seeing too many cases that lead me to believe that ALS is changing. For example, it seems like more people are being diagnosed in their 20's, many of them athletes.

I believe that I read about some FALS on this web site.

It depends on the gene. The average for SOD1 is 46. C9 is late 50s for men early 60s for women supposedly never before 35. My sister and I are younger than average by a good margin but older than 35.
Some other genes strike younger including the rare juvenile onset
