Hi Fellow CALS and PALS,
i have a question, my mom has progress to the point where she can barely mutter words and her hands are full paralyzed and she has very limited and weak neck movement.

I'm trying to get something that can track her eye movement and type in TTS<, unfortunately, this TTS needs to support Chinese which my dad can understand and a bonus would be that you can download apps on it like wechat. Would an ipad+ some sort of eye-tracking hardware app be best like the eyegaze?

Hi Em, sorry to hear about your mom's progression. We discussed this in another thread, but you might also want to look at Speechify and web-based translation engines that speak text (Google TTS Chinese).

I would try the built-in eye gaze features of the iPad (if she has one of the newer ones) before looking further at hardware. But there are certainly ability switch interfaces like Tecla for the iPad as well, especially if there is any one muscle that responds reliably.
