This podcast is not directly related to ALS/MND, however it covers a problem we all have encountered in one way or another. Posting here in Research News, as this is where most of the stem cell, drug and treatment discussions happen and where potential treatments/research gets posted.

An excellent podcast episode by one of my favorite medical people. It's about unproven cures, the role the internet plays in health related fake news and the effects it has on actual doctors trying to treat patients.

This forum has encountered a fair amount of this particular subject, and it's important to be able to differentiate between actual promising cures, treatments and therapies and hype about unproven and potentially harmful therapies.

The Internet spreads huge health fears. I have actually seen lists like “ 10 Signs of ALS”. People se to have to Google symptoms to get the stuff, now it just oops in Facebook feeds.
