I was reading a small study that was posted in ALS Therapy Institute forum where Electronic Stimulation Therapy was used for stimulations to the nerves that have died or are dying and slowing atrophy. From what I read that with routine stimulation therapy to the atrophying muscle was able to increase muscle density and elevated limb pain with routine stimulation. Have anyone tried this or know if these claims are true?

Would you kindly link the study ? Thank you

They tried this on my husband who had drop foot before he was diagnosed and did not get a response.

EST really worked for me after shoulder surgery but ALS is a much different kettle of fish. EST for our problem is almost too good to be true. Hope to hear more information on this ! !

You may be referring to a small study on neuromuscular magnetic stimulation, not the same as electrical stimulation.
