So I got a call this morning there was a cancellation for an EMG! I had it done on the right side of my body/back and neck. I do not have the actual report yet, but she said that everything was normal besides I have a mild case of carpel tunnel in my right wrist. I told her about the twitching and she reported she did not see anything during the test. Is it true that even though I had them right before the test and during the test on my left side she would still be able to detect them if I had them going on in my body within the last month and half?

Thank you!!

This is excellent news, I am so happy for you! And, the issues that cause twitching in ALS show up on an EMG whether you are actively twitching during the test or not.

It does not matter at all whether you twitched during the emg. If your twitches were due to ALS and dying motor neurons the emg would have showed it. You are clear. Time to move on
