Hello! I’m 30 years old female and have been dealing with muscle twitching for 6 weeks all over body. MRIS have come back all normal. Had an emg and nerve study done and this is the report. I have not heard from my doctor but of course looking into these findings points straight to ALS. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Nerve conduction studies of the left lower limb were normal. There was no conduction block or temporal dispersion. F waves were within estimate. Needle EMG of the left lower limb demonstrated few fasciculation potentials in distal muscles and reduced recruitment of long duration, high amplitude motor unit potentials in the left peroneus tertius. CLINICAL INTERPRETATION: This is an abnormal study. The findings in the peroneus tertius may be due to technical or local factors or, in the right clinical context, may represent early findings of a length dependent large fiber peripheral neuropathy. There is no electrodiagnostic evidence of a left lumbosacral radiculopathy.
