I Really dont know what to do, beacause Nobody Never had Symptoms like this. I Cant sleep beacause i wake few Minuten later After i Fall to sleep, beacause Symptoms getting worser when i close my eyes.

Much Love !

Paddy,

You should see a physician. This doesn't sound like the issues we deal with here, but certainly something that should be evaluated medically.

Best,
Laurie

Hey Igelb, Thank you for the quick reply.

I also got Other Symptoms: left Hand Shaking, left foot and Knee weak, neck Pain on the left side and fascikulation almost everywhere. I got a Hospital Place in 3 Weeks for more Tests, But the Symptoms i told you on my First Post are killing me right now, thats why i ask.
This thumping noise and the eye twiching just dont Let me sleep.

I'm glad you will be getting tested.

Anything that is mildly sedating, at a safe dosage, might help you sleep, such as zolpidem, diphenhydramine, or you could even try chamomile tea, etc. I am sure your druggist can help.

On the off chance that this is related to a deficiency, you might also consider a balanced B complex, iron, calcium and/or magnesium, again in measured doses.

I am sure the testing will help find a treatable cause.

ALS early Symptoms

Hello guys,

Can ALS Start with breathing issues?
Somebody in this Forum had experience with that Kind of First symptoms?

Greetings.

Re: ALS early Symptoms

1) Please stay in this thread, and do not start another.

2) Yes, but you haven't reported any breathing problems. I don't mean occasionally, I mean all the time. (And for anyone reading this who does, the advice to see a doctor is reiterated.)

3) You need to see a physician where you are. We are not a substitute.

Paddy, if you could speak to your doctor, that would be better than asking for non ALS specific health advice on a forum meant for those with ALS.

While people with ALS report particular symptoms- it is always within a distinct pattern of symptoms. What you are reporting does not fit into that pattern and you must seek proper in-person medical care with a doctor as advised by Laurie a few posts back.

Ok, i will Wait for the Hospital day..
Just one last question: did your Ear Knocking stop After a few months or do you still live with that? Beacause im going Crazy. Maybe you Have a advice.

No, this is not that type of forum, Paddy. Ear knocking should be addressed with your doctor or on a general health forum.

Wow, im just asking for help, i have an Official ALS suspicion from an Neurologist. Im really worried beacause i have Symptoms Since months, and its getting worse. Now i found something that explains my Symptoms, and im really happy that maybe somebody could give me advice, and this is your answer. My English is not good and I can’t write the way I would like to, but it’s really sad to hear that answer from somebody that could give a simple answer.

This is the first you've mentioned "official ALS suspicion" by a neurologist in six posts, so you'll forgive us our bemusement. And I think your English adequately conveys your disappointment with our responses to you. The people here who acknowledged ear noise in the post you found have been diagnosed with an MND, but you haven't, so they cannot comment on how long yours might last. That would depend on what's causing it.

As for your seeking advice, we have given it and here it is again: see a physician, or see another physician, until you have a definitive diagnosis -- not suspicion. Then s/he and you can develop a treatment plan.

Since neither you nor we are finding this thread productive, I am closing it. All the best.

re: Ear Knocking & Eyes Twitching, PLEASE HELP!

First of all- sorry you find yourself here with a new MND diagnosis.

What support are you receiving in Germany? Have you been referred to a neuromuscular/MND specialist? What are the next steps recommended for you?

With regards to ear knocking- if it is caused by jaw clonus, Baclofen or some other muscle relaxant might help. If it caused by tremor, perhaps your neurologist has some suggestions, or others here might. Tremor such as what you might be describing is not really a prominent feature of ALS. If there is some other cause of the knocking, best you consult with a doctor to find out the cause and get to the root of it. There are a few meds that can be prescribed, but it really depends on why you are experiencing the issue.

You might want to look up "pulsatile tinnitus" to see if this fits.

Once again, sorry you find yourself here.

Very sorry about your diagnosis, Paddy. We will help however we can.

I agree with ShiftKicker that it could be related to clonus; if your doc confirms that, something to address that would be the first move.

In re the air hunger, have you had lung function/breathing tests? If not, I'd ask about that.

Best,
Laurie
