I have posted in the general area recently that my mother is in the process of finding out if she has ALS. All of her symptoms point to that diagnosis. She has left footdrop, general slowness and unsteadiness, speech and swallowing problems, and she has started having some leg cramps here and there. She also becomes extremely stiff the morning after a significant car ride (1 1/2 hrs.)
The only thing that has shown improvement is drooling. Back in Nov and Dec, she had some drooling. That issue has completely resolved itself. She takes no medicine whatsoever at this time, so this seems surprising in light of everything I have read so far on Bulbar symptoms.
Has anyone ever experienced drooling resolving by itself?
