DONATION to ALS research

maybe this isn't the right specific board for this but here goes:

my wife is recently diagnosed with probable ALS
not having been ruined yet financially, I would like to make a small donation to the ALS
issue, specifically research.

does anyone have any comments on which charities are legit?
looking at ALS TDI as one possibility....

You probably have a local chapter of the ALS Association in your area, I would look online for that, or check www.alsa.org
