Hi everyone,

I’m male 35 years old. I have had tremors in my fingers on both hands for months.but only when outstretched or flexing to perform a task. At rest they are just still. Starting about a month ago I started suffering from a lot of fatigue and that has also worsened. Especially in my arms which now have minor cramping and some stiffness. I know I suffer from anxiety (this is being counciled) and I have an EMG scheduled in two days. I had some plant the ALS seed in my mind and I’m now freaking out. I also did read before posting. Just wanted a fellow opinion.
Thank you

A postural tremor is not typically seen with ALS onset, and is usually benign, especially at your age. Sleep and positioning during your activities can be keys.

I would unplant the seed, live your life, and I expect the EMG will be reassuring. Glad to hear you are doing counseling.

Thanks for the quick response.
Just an update I got a call from the neuro facility and the doctor called in and had to reschedule for September???? Also woke up with cramping or the feeling like on the verge of cramping in upper legs and arms.

Mainly just frustrated now.

Try drinking something with fruit in it before bed, avoiding smoking/alcohol/stress/cafffeine as you wind down. I get your frustration but I don't think you have anything to worry about from this side of the fence.
