Hello. I'm really sorry. I debated about whether to post this as I don't believe it is fair to you wonderful people. I have been suffering from lightheaded, fainting spells for a couple of months now. I have been to neurologist and now a cardiologist after referral from the neurologist. I know that ALS is not a common disease, but at the conclusion of my visit yesterday, my cardiologist said we should perform a tilt-table test. When I got the appointment, it was made with the neuromuscular division at my hospital. This is the same grouping of diseases as ALS according to some websites like Michigan Health. I have health anxiety pretty bad as well so I always assume the worst. I tried to call my doctor and ask if she thought it was something serious and I have not heard back. What exactly is a tilt-table test and is it used in ALS. My left arm feels weaker than my right fairly often. So sorry to post this and hope I can get a quick answer and not bother anyone. -SH.
