Hi,

I have had about 2 years of extreme fatigue, problems with executive function, and more recently weakness with fasciculations.

I already have diagnosis of moderate mixed sleep apnea (first thing I was diagnosed with 2+ years ago), immune deficiency, pituitary dysfunction, "CFS" and cervical radiculopathy causing weakness in my left arm (confirmed by abnormal EMG and MRI).

Now having the fasciculations in right arm, thighs, feet, face and occasionally abdominal area. Weakness in right arm somewhat, and legs but nothing that would fail a neurological exam (just much weaker than I remember).

More recently my executive function (thinking, planning, executing) has gotten worse requiring me to sleep and rest a lot more than normal with medications I take to compensate for this (stimulants) not really working that well.

I've also had issues with breathing in that when at rest, my oxygen levels asleep drop to 80 percent (alarm on pulse oximeter I bought on Amazon wakes me up)..

I currently have a limited ability to seek healthcare as I am in the middle of a disability application without a clear diagnosis that one would be approved for disability for. I know I need to see a doctor again, but wanted to ask:

Should I see a MND specialist, neurologist, pulmonary dr, or ??

How do I best address doctors to get the tests needed to rule out (or confirm) something serious like MND without being told it's one of the conditions I already have a diagnosis prior to getting the tests for, but all symptoms I have (with some getting worrisome), not explaining condition overall?

Thanks.

Sorry you're here to join us.
I would definitely see an ALS/MND neurologist asap. Very possibly you could get a disability approval quickly. Be sure to take records f all your other tests with you.

Sherry
