I was diagnosed with ALS over 12 years ago. I had this diagnosis confirmed with a second and third opinion. Had dozens of tests including: nerve conduction, MRI's, CATSCANS, X-rays, mylograms, had tissue removed from my leg sent to University of The Carolinas, etc. I was given a year to a year and a half to live at the time of my diagnosis, and am currently in perfect health.
Here's the wierd part of my story. MY maternal Grandfather and great grandfather both died from ALS. I don't know why it never occured to me before, but I have been thinking that maybe my good fortune could possibly be linked to them both having the disease. Maybe I have inherited some sort of immunity to the disease, and if so, possibly my blood could be made into some sort of experimental serum. I know the feeling of utter helplessness that I experienced when first diagnosed. I tried every holistic product known to man, I purposely got stung by bee's and wasps, and took mega doses of vitamins, along with prescribed medication for the fasiculations and muscle weakness I had. If someone like me had been around and offered me some of their blood, I woulld have done it without hesitation.
If anyone here knows anyone in the scientific community who would like to look into this, I would be willing to help out any way I could.
Thanks,
George
