CTE and ALS

I do not think this is much of a surprise to anyone but Kevin Turner , a Pro football player and PALS who died in March, had chronic traumatic encephalopathy. He donated his brain for study and that confirmed what he had suspected.

Clearly not many here had anywhere near his history of head trauma but it is still an important issue and identifying and confirming this finding adds a piece to the puzzle for a subset of PALS

I am also seeing reports that he did not have ALS but a mimic caused by CTE. This is what I thought I heard the researcher say at the press conference but initial reports I read did not say that so I thought I had misheard

I hope they publish this as a paper or journal letter so we can see the pathology report
