Can someone explain this?

FEV/FVC ratio:

Expected 93% Found: 76%

That means for my build, condition, etc., that they expected to see a ratio of 93% but where I really am is 76%, correct?

Yes the expected is based on sex, age and body size. The found is your performance at that point in time. Did you have full pfts( breathing tests)? There are other numbers that are important to get the full picture

The Forced Vital Capacity is a measure of how much air you can forcefully inhale and then exhale. Think: blowing up a balloon.

There is a good explanation of the various PFT and spirometry values on wikipedia.

Within wikipedia, do a search for the word "spirometry". That page will likely answer your questions.

Please note the "forced" part of the FVC is its greatest weakness, likewise the FEV. "S[slow]VC" is picking up currency for this reason. In real life, it's not a race to breathe as quickly as you can.
