Communicating...

the thing that scares me most about ALS is the lack of communication with those dear to me... as as absolutely frightening it is for me to think of disability, I can deal with that in the long run if I can only communicate with my loved ones...

I don't care if I have to use a computerized function, or whatever it takes - as long as some form of communication can be made even in the later stages of the disease.

Rest comfortable in the knowledge that as long as you are able to move 1 eye you will be able to communicate.

Technology today is wonderful. But don't dwell on the future, concentrate on today and enjoying it to the fullest!
