Come for tea

Well sad thing is I have eaten almost all of them, oink oink! But I will make more and share. I made a chocolate cake (from scratch) that I can share. That will go with tea too.

hi everybody, sorry I've been away for a couple of days but glad to see all the chatter going on at tea. I made banana bread the other day, with the help of my PCA of course… Since I can't mix anything anymore, should be plenty to pass around for tea. Vicki, I guess you'll just have to make more of those macaroons! It's been a busy week between trying to get some work done, and juggling all the doctors and therapists phone calls… TGIF! And for the first time in four weeks, we are not getting a major snowstorm this weekend. Spring cannot come soon enough!

Hi Friends,
I would so love to have a piece of Chocolate cake right now. I'm Catholic so I follow the rule in our church that you have no meat on Friday's during Lent. I don't care much for fish or much seafood except for shrimp on occasion. I am the pickiest eater ever. If it's good for you I don't usually like it. lol
Hope all of you have a nice weekend. We have had just a short dusting of snow here in Central Illinois the last few days. Thank Godness the roads have remained pretty clear as long as your not racing. lol Kim

We have had snow everyday for the past week but it is melting so no real accumulation. We still have ice on the ground though from the sleet last week. I am soooooo ready for spring!

Kim I am cutting a big piece of cake for you. We were discussing lent and the Pope last night with the boys, my husband is catholic non practicing( too many knuckles smacked in school by the nuns) and I am methodist. We talk about religion all the time, all forms of religion so they can choose when they feel they are ready.

we had salmon and shrimp last night. I bought some halibut and crab legs today, Yummmmmmy. My middle son does not seafood so he had chicken.

Have a good weekend. Hugs to all.

helen, we r not getting snow but the temp is suppose to drop to high 20's (not that big a drop) and stay there. i'm with u C'mon Spring!

We had a snow dusting the first two days this month, didn't stick to nothing. It's sunny and blue skies today, a welcome sight. I am so ready for Spring!

Do y'all like apple crumble? My wife makes the best! I'm not too keen on sharing, but I would if you guys wanted to try it......I don't offer that to just anybody!

We got up into the high 40's today and I grilled outside! The sun was shinning and the birds were singiing, it has been the nicest day in the last 2 weeks. What a mood lifter.

I"ll take some of that apple crumble now that the macaroons and chocolate cake is gone.

I'm on here too much, can't seem to help it when there is nothing else going on......

Change of subject; did you happen to catch that piece on 60 Minutes tonight about all those brand new "ghost cities" in China? I've never seen or heard of anything like that in my whole life!

And then the piece on 'Rodriguez' the South African musician......more popular than the Beatles (?!), but just now getting any attention? (40 years later)..... No. 1) How is that possible, No. 2) I can't believe I have never heard of him!, As much as I love music!

Two totally amazing things learned in one night..........wish they would come up with the 'thing' we are all looking for here in this little community.

Well, anyway, now I have some music to try to find. Have y'all ever heard of this guy?

h4h we all come here frequently. it's a little of hope and understanding where we don't have explain or apologize to anyone for our mood, stress etc.
now pass the cobbler, is there ice cream? if you found the music share it in al's sandbox.
hiya vici~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sorry i am posting here because i can't seem to find out how to start a new thread.

I am new in posting in this forum although I have been quietly reading your posts almost every day. My sister was diagnosed with ALS in April of 2012 and i am very much involved with her care. Both me and my husband are researchers, in fact he is a well known oncologists specialised in Multiple Mueloma and Amyloidosis. He has a blog called "Amyloid planet" His most recent post was about ALS and i thought is is a very interesting one and wanted to share it with you.

It is called" Researcher tell ALS to go eat itself - literally" I am having a hard time posting it as a link, but search it as : http://amyloidplanet.blogspot.ca/

His name is Dr. Jeffrey Zonder

HI Mary Pat

We have sunshine again today! Spring can't get here soon enough for me.

I looked up the ghost city thing and yea that is strange. Maybe they are getting ready for the climate change or appocolapse(sp). Don't know. the music guy? No never heard of him, so I don't think he is a big as the Beatles or the Stones.

Whatsup with you MP? Anything new? Hugs.

going in for a diaphram pacer in a couple weeks. ready for spring that is for sure! we do have some sun but it is cold still

I wish you the best and hope the pacer makes things easier for you. Temps here today are in the upper 50's! My daffodils are peaking and the tree in the back yard is trying to bud.

Hi Everyone,
Spent a little time visiting dad over the weekend. He's doing pretty good I would say. Hard to gauge you know. He's been enjoying alot of movies on Netflix. He loves all different kinds. One or two of the kids spent the night with me everynight this weekend. There wasn't much on tv so we watched ton of episodes of a show my kids love called Duck Dynasty. Our whole family met together at church to sit with each other. I started to cry in church so I had to leave a little early. Yesterday, the 3rd was the day 20 years ago that my husband asked me to marry him. I have been taking it really rough. Trying to count my blessings and all but it sure is hard with worrying about my dad and then this other crap. Just got a take it one day at a time like we all do. Heaven must be great because living down here sure is hard work. Praying for you all, Kim

Kim

I am sending a big warm hug, lots of love and strength.
