Our caregivers are stronger and younger than I am. I used to be able to pull him forward. But now with weakness and paralysis I cant do it. Are you leaving the sling in place??

Is this in the power chair? You can hold his back, recline the seat to create enough space behind the back to place the back, and once the back is returned to a safe position, try a foam block on the footplates to raise the feet, then lift one leg at a time to put the sling under each thigh closer to the butt.

To clarify. He is in a power hospital bed. Even if i raise the head up, his torso is "impossible " for me to pull forward.
Laurie you are saying do the opposite. Hold back and put head of bed down. I will try.
I am not weak. Can lift almost 40lbs. But this is so difficult.
