Hello,

I have recently noticed that my tongue quivers when protruded. I feel nothing when it is in my mouth. Is this the same thing as tongue fasciculations?

Thanks so much.

Re tongue Fasiculations

Hi just about my diagnosed I have tongue fasiculations.and a few in my left arm no other symptoms. The neuro guy tells me tongue fasiculations can be asign of a motor neuron disease tthey tell me I have either early ALS , prgressive bulbar palsy which could develope into Als or it could remain as bulbar palsy . If you have not gone to a neurologist I would get to one. take care and good luck

yourebeing,

Yes, what you describe is a faciculation of the tongue. I have tongue fasciculations of the type you describe. Have had them for almost a year. Whether or not this means you have ALS would need to be part of a comprehensive neurological work-up; in my case they are only one part of a picture which includes fasciculations in all regions and progressive weakness in hands and arms.
