Hi! 36/F from norway.

I have read before posting.
It started with a rare sensation in my face two weeks after birth. That spread to my left arm and feet. It was like I had ants in my fingers and my feet. Then I started to get twitching all over my body. This was in the end of march.
My symptoms are:
Twitching all over my body, just one dunk and then another place. Sometimes it’s more in one place. I also have one spot on my leg it always com back to.
I have a weird felling in my left leg and my right hand.
I have a bad back.
Around my lips there are pittring.
And I feel like my breath is hard some days. It comes and go.
I have no clinical weakness. But my left leg feel bad when I walk.
I have done two Emg, but not in my face. Both was clean. But I wondering if this could be bulbar MND?

I’m glad if someone will answer. And sorry for my bad grammar.

If the issues you describe related to MND, your EMGs would not have been clean. EMGs in ALS show widespread damage, and not only in the areas you find worrying. Also, the problems in ALS do not move around as you describe.

I would work with your GP and possibly a physio to feel better and not expect a single answer to cover all that you report, unless it is a postviral syndrome. If so, it should improve with rehabilitation.

Thank you for answered. So you don’t think the symptoms I describe could be ALS? I forgot to mention that I also have tremor I my hands.

Agree with above. Doesn’t sound like ALS to me either

Thank you for the answer.
I am dealing with som the problem that I feels like I am not breathing right, so I got pain in the upper place one my stomach. Under my ribs. My leg feels like I got a sock that’s make the leg feel stiff. And the place on my lips that is pittring, I can’t se any movement, but maybe this is twisting, it is there all the time. 😭 I am really scared.

When you are scared, it can be hard to make good choices about your health. So I would see a counselor as you work with your primary care physician to sort this out.

Thank you! I have seen two Nero, and they are saying I don’t fit the pattern for ALS. I try to believe in them. Would ALS progress in two moth??

Your neurologist is correct. Your question about ALS progression does not apply to you, as you have been cleared of ALS. If ALS was in the picture, you would have progression and your neurologist would not miss it. It sounds as though you are struggling with severe health anxiety. You must address this.

I am locking this thread to further discussion to encourage you to leave ALS behind. No more posting here please.
