Hi, thank you for taking the time to read this. I know you're not doctors but I also respect the opinions of pals and cals just as much. I have a lot of symptoms but to keep it short, have any of you ever heard of bulbar starting with throat tightening/ pain almost like an allergic reaction? And progressing this quickly? Voice is getting weak and giving out. My throat tightens when it happens usually. I am also lisping/ slurring when I speak sometimes. Diagnosed with esophageal dysmotility on barium swallow. Food getting stuck in throat. Aspirating on it sometimes. Twitching everywhere. This has all happened since only April. Pending an endoscopy soon. My allergist said my allergy markers were low. I'm pretty scared but trying to stay positive.

It is possible in theory, but would be unusual, especially if you are not short of breath or coughing. There are certainly other possible causes, which could be seen via the endo. I am presuming the allergist asked you about dietary changes, changes in your home or workplace, pets, etc. Allergy testing is not exhaustive and not designed to ferret out toxic exposures.

I have been short of breath and a tight cough in the evenings especially. I cough during the day after eating but it a different cough than the evening cough.
