I’m a 28 year old female. Over the past two weeks I have been experiencing choking on liquids or the feeling of it going down the wrong pipe. This has been happening once a day or at least every other. I never had this issue before.
I’ve seen this could be the start of bulbar symptoms. And it has me very worried.
My speech is fine, just having the choking issue. Very concerned. Thank you.

I have not seen a doctor. I feel completely normal other than my going down the wrong pipe issue. But of course when looking up symptoms Dr Google put ALS on the possibility list.
Is this how bulbar als usually begins to present itself?

No.
GERD, dry mouth, allergies or an infection would be much more common reasons. You could try drinking more liquids, a sugarless cough drop, nasal steroid and saline throat spray for a start and consult a doc if no improvement.

Please see a doctor, that is the appropriate way to check on a health issue. Please understand that asking terminally ill people to advise you on health rather than a doctor is not appropriate. You are not describing ALS however so that is great news. All the best.
