Hi people. I'm from Spain, my name is Carlos and I'm 25 years old. I'm worried because this last year i started to experience some symptoms like arthritis, tinnitus, vertigo, cognitive problems, fasciculations over the body, muscle cramps, dipsnea etc... and my worts symptom my tongue... it's twitching constantly and in the left side i have some papillae outside the tongue like if it was detached... and paresthesias.

I've been diagnosed with lyme, three positives but i'm worried that it has triggered a bulbar ALS. I'm crying all day because i think i'm going to die from respiratory faillure and i need help.
I would like to add a photo of my tongue.

Hi Carlos,

Arthritis, tinnitus, and vertigo have nothing to do with ALS. Twitching is also nonspecific and not suggestive of ALS if there is no failure of muscle function.

Pictures don't tell us much, but i dont see any obvious problems with your tongue.

So nothing here suggests ALS. Keep working with your doctor on your other symptoms, but ALS is not a concern here.
