I was not aware of the Brigance Brigade Foundation and their support for CALS in particular until I read this very nice article in the Guardian.

OJ and Chanda are great people. They are regional - primarily Maryland and oddly ,patients of Houston Methodist

Chanda runs an online support group for CALS. I can’t speak to it because of course I don’t qualify but she is a lovely person

OJ went to High School and college in Houston; that’s the connection to Methodist. We just joined the Methodist Clinic ourselves. I’m from Houston (went to High School with OJ), but we retired to Mississippi a couple years ago. When my husband got diagnosed with ALS (at Johns Hopkins since there wasn’t a neurologist we could get in to see in MS), we realized we needed to move back, closer to my family and our friends. Luckily, Methodist was able to take us on as patients - they have been amazing!
