Blood Clots...

How do people that are parylized prevent them? I know that people must have caregivers who turn them and things but they still have to be at major risk, right? Are there any things that really help to reduce the risk if you cant move? Thank you.

I would think ASA or blood thinners would be prescribed at that stage.

Blood Clots

Gail takes Warfarin daily to keep her blood thin. Gets a blood test every 3 weeks or so. We almost confused a symptom of blood clots ( getting fluid in the lungs ) with a quick progression of ALS and breathing difficutly.

You can't stop ALS but the blood clots can be managed quite easilly.
